Difficult Roads

On the road towards fulfilling God’s master plan for your life, you may go down difficult roads. Roads where you may be looking for an early exit, but don’t see one in sight. Or roads that lead you away from the known path; leaving you confused and afraid that you’ve lost your way.  I have totally been there!  But to get to destined places, feelings of uncertainty and discomfort are inevitable. In fact, God will allow unpleasant things to happen to move us out from where we are to where we ought to be.

When I think about people like Oprah Winfrey, Iyanla Vanzant, Joyce Meyers and Paula White I am empowered to know if they could, I can. They experienced sexual abuse, rejection, shame and more. Yet, they managed to overcome and are now living their dreams while sharing their testimonies of victory through books, interviews, preaching and teaching.

God has a destined place for us all and until we get there we mustn’t allow life’s challenges to weigh us down to the point of giving up. But instead keep our eye’s fixed Jesus! For our Heavenly Father knows exactly what He’s doing in our lives.

What I’ve learned overtime is God often uses where we are to prepare us for our next! Maybe He’s teaching you some important life lessons right now? Maybe the discomfort is causing you to pray more? or maybe He’s humbling you?  Whatever the reason could, I believe all things are working together for your GOOD!!

For we  know that all things work together for the good of those who love God-those whom he has called according to his plan. Romans 8:28

When I think about the last difficult road I had been on in my life, God took what was meant to destroy me and turned it around for my good.  Now today, I help women who struggle with anxiety and depression find their personal freedom in Christ through my course, “Detach Yourself: Breaking Free From Negative Emotions.”   If you’re struggling today with rejection, insecurity, abandonment, fear, or shame to name a few,  I encourage you to visit the course link above. It could be the very thing you need to start living a more empowered life.

Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, I thank you for difficult roads because this is when you’ve done the greatest work in me. Lord, I pray for my sister or brother reading that are feeling anxious, afraid or confused about your plan for their life. I pray that you  would bring peace and calm to their troubled heart and help them to know they can trust you even when they don’t feel you. Give them the assurance they need Father, to know they are on the right path and if they aren’t order their feet now into the right path towards  the beautiful destination you have planned. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Below I’ve provided you with scriptures I’ve meditated upon while navigating through difficult roads. I pray they will encourage you along the way.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

But He knows the way I take; when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Job 23:10

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; they rod and they staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
